Integrated Turbine Energy Generator

The Integrated Turbine Energy Generator (ITEG) is an innovative fluid machine designed by Stefano Farné and Vito Lavanga. It integrates a fluid dynamic system and an electric motor into a single device, allowing it to operate as both a pump and a turbine, making it versatile for use in hydroelectric power generation and fluid pumping.

Starter KIt

The entire project is proposed from an "Industry 4.0" perspective, as the proposer is an "Innovative Startup with a Social Mission," as can be seen from documents made available to you. We note that this entails significant tax benefits for the client (50% tax credit on the supply, as well as a halving of IRES/IRAP in the subsequent year, upon starting production with the delivered units). Thus, the purchase operation is essentially at "ZERO cost," with benefits automatically accessed in the accounting process.

ITEG-prop Srls undertakes to provide a StartKit of systems (developed at your locations with a priority on activities derived from the client) consisting of: 2 bilateral belts with 3 propulsion units per side of 1 kW each, 2 bilateral belts with 3 propulsion units per side of 3 kW each, and 2 bilateral belts with 3 propulsion units per side of 5 kW each.

Business Plan

Project: ITEG - Integrated Turbine Energy Generator
Objective: Start a pre-assembly and testing site (procedures and manuals) for the production of axial pumps.
Target: Pipeline/industrial chemical companies, operators in the nautical and aeronautical sectors, hydromechanical companies, financial investors, operators in the AGRO and biogas/biomethane sectors, Oil & Gas.

The project aims to activate a production site, covering everything from design to assembly (for pre-delivery and rapid installation), with the development of procedures tailored to the production agreed upon with the client (based on available products to interface with) and the intended use of its equipment.

Publication / Thesis

The Integrated Turbine Energy Generator (ITEG) is a reversible machine capable of either imparting energy to a fluid or extracting energy from it, depending on whether it functions as a pump or a turbine. The design features few mechanical components (rotor, stator, end caps), which makes it simple and adaptable for various applications.

A key innovation of ITEG compared to similar machines currently on the market is the integration of the motor into the stator, along with the rotor's balance achieved through magnetic bearings. The rotor section itself is also a significant characteristic of this machine, enhancing its versatility and efficiency in different settings.

Commercial Title

Subject: "ITEG Project - Industrial Research and Development", Italian Patent No. 102018000011105

This proposal offers the opportunity to develop a series of ITEG propulsion systems, aimed at increasing the efficiency of propulsion for self-propelled vehicles by interacting with the surrounding fluids (gaseous or liquid), for both recreational and professional use in nautical and aeronautical segments. The propulsion units, properly configured and aligned, will allow a high level of maneuverability through PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and dedicated firmware. The project includes customization of the systems according to the scale of the interested companies.

The entire project is framed under "Industry 4.0", with the proponent being an "Innovative Startup with a Social Mission," as evidenced by available documentation. This allows significant tax benefits for clients (50% tax credit on supply, as well as reduced IRES/IRAP in the subsequent year, provided the delivered systems are put into production). Essentially, this results in a "zero-cost" operation for the buyer, with the benefits applied automatically in the financial statements.

Pitch-S&S

The innovative rotor described here is designed to convert energy from a fluid (either gaseous or liquid) into rotational energy, and vice versa. Key features include:

  • Tensile Structure: Provides high solidity, enhancing efficiency during distributed and pervasive action.
  • Distributed Action in Operational Section: Enables efficient, controlled impact across the rotor’s surface.
  • Drastic Friction Reduction: Minimizes friction between the donor and receiver in the different forms of energy transfer, leading to smoother operation.
  • No Contaminating Effects: Ensures no contamination occurs between the internal and external parts of the operational compartments, maintaining system integrity.

The ITEG has a registered patent and has received positive research reports from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO)(

The device aims to provide high efficiency with low maintenance requirements, benefiting from a gearless design, which makes it a practical alternative to traditional systems

Voucher

The described system is an integrated vertical farming method designed for simultaneous cultivation of algae and plants, optimized for both floriculture and horticulture applications. It consists of a transparent, elongated spiral structure arranged in a vertical, semi-co-planar formation. The system includes:

  • Two fluid circuits: One side has semi-filled tubes, while the opposite has fully filled tubes.
  • The semi-filled side is intended for aquaponic plant cultivation, where specific ornamental or horticultural plants can be grown.
  • The fully filled side is used for algal cultures.

The system's unique feature lies in creating a semi-filled vs. filled effect using an altitude drop, defined by part of the tube's diameter, located on one of the short sides of the rectangular spiral. The upper section of the semi-filled tubes houses containers suitable for holding seeds, facilitating germination and growth.
